About

What's my story? 

Like many, my "drinking career" began in my late teens at weekend parties. In my 20s, working in the city and in the world of advertising meant that drinking quickly became more than just a weekend thing. After-work drinks were the norm, where “just the one” often ended at closing time. 


Single and without children, my lifestyle stayed the same and this drinking cycle continued into my 30s and 40s. Hangovers became a part of life and despite them getting harder to deal with and often feeling dreadful, I never considered stopping.  

 

I couldn't have imagined life without alcohol. I thought it gave me confidence. I thought it connected me with likeminded people. I thought it made me fun to be with. But really it was masking the fact that I felt lost, lonely and disillusioned about my future.

Fast forward to post-COVID - working from home brought an end to after-work drinks, but this was replaced with wine in front of the TV. It became my reward after a busy day. Often, the second the computer switched off, the wine bottle opened.

When I did go on nights out, I slipped back into old patterns where one drink became two, became three, became last orders. I felt I deserved a good night out but it often ended in me being sick. I was now in my 50s and my body couldn't take it anymore.

I have always been successful in my career, but inside, I felt anxious, unmotivated, and stuck. There was always a nagging feeling that life had more to offer, but I wasn’t sure how to find it. I never thought quitting alcohol was the answer.

 

However, after a couple of Dry Januarys and numerous failed attempts to moderate, I eventually made the decision to quit completely - and what happened next was more incredible than I ever expected. I gained clarity of mind, my sleep improved, my anxiety disappeared, and for the first time in years, I felt genuinely content.

That transformation led me here. I now help women like myself break free from the cycle of alcohol and discover just how amazing life can be without it. Because I know firsthand - letting go of drinking isn’t about missing out. It’s about finally stepping into the life you were meant to live.
